Crafting for my nephew :)

I haven't been blogging lately...my nana broke her hip so being there for her and helping out my Aunty as much as possibly has taken over my life. I haven't even been reading or knitting very much lately. HOWEVER, my sister is due in May AND lives in Missouri (where my mama is going this week) so I had a time limit to getting crafting done for baby Aiden. I am thankfully all done with a few days to prepare :) Here is what I made!

Crib sheets! Actually quite easy to make, I will make these again for sure. If you want a tutorial go to This blog :)

I also made a crib skirt...I don't have a crib here so I will have to get my sister to send me pictures when she     puts this on the crib! So excited to see it!

Isn't the quilt cute?! I love it!

What a nice stack of love :)

Hope y'all are having an amazing start to spring :)

More baby crafting... surprise :)

Remember the monkey I made? I was waiting for the beautiful babe to be born so I would know what color bow to make (and where to put it)! Well that little love as born (a girl) and I obviously needed to then make a quilt with pretty girly fabric...obviously :)

Here is monkey with her bow :) SO CUTE

I just love the look of freshly cut fabric :) Makes me Happy, Happy, Happy.

So precious!!!! I just love little Brynn and the cute crafting that I got to do for her :)

Some adorable crafting...

I love crafting for babies...I know y'all know this about me, so it will come as no surprise that the crafts that I have to share with you today are baby crafts!

This first one is a late quilt gift to a babe who was born a while ago (I was slacking apparently). Anyway, it was a panel quilt, pretty easy but SO cute, trickiest thing was sewing around the animals...that ended up hurting my hands (I need a better sewing machine I think). This could be why it took me so long to complete this one.

This next picture shows some art prints that I did up in Microsoft Publisher and had printed by a print company in Calgary, I LOVE the colors (went for the Peacock look) and the songs on them, I think they turned out nicely.

This little gal is the cutest thing I have ever knitted I think, mostly because I love monkeys. I just need to make a bow for her cute little head so that people know that she is a girl. I feel so blessed to be able to make this for E and B's new daughter, and very excited to meet the little gaffer!

Seriously, this monkey is so cute I could die...if you want to make one be sure to pick up Knitted wild animals, the pattern was easy to follow and turned out lovely.

What crafts have you guys been making?

January reading list.

January was a reading month for me, I was shocked at how many books I devoured. Granted a majority of them are from the Pretty Little Liar's series, they are easy reads and only 300ish pages long...if I focus I can (and have) read one in a day! So here are the books I have read this month. :)

1. Pretty Little Liars- Flawless; I honestly love this series, I am however, finding it hard to read the books and watch the show (AMAZING) at the same time...I keep getting confused. Does anyone else think that Toby infiltrated A to protect Spencer? Or am I just a hopeless romantic hoping for the best....hmmm

I couldn't read fast enough towards the end of this one...so suspenseful!

This last book was my book club's pick. I was not expecting to like this books as much as I did. I also could see where each of the women were coming from...such a sad book but it does have a nice conclusion.

Have you guys read anything this month? Any book recommendations for me?

Hope your January was Blessed

New years resolutions?!

Hello!

So I think everyone starts thinking about resolutions this time of year, some people hate them, some make them and most break them. I decided that this year I want to make attainable "goals", mostly focused on improving my quality of life. Here they are!

1. Read more, last year I read 26 books, this year I want to read 30...not hard considering 12 of those will come from my book club :). I am also on my second book of the year already...so making good progress!

2. Stay away from negativity...this one is hard..sometimes most of the negativity comes from people that we love, at least it does in my life, and people that we can't easily just "love from a distance". I don't know how I am going to manage this one...perhaps the trick is to try not to be broken by the negativity....by putting less weight in those people's opinion and words. I am the first to say that I don't care what people think..and generally I don't, unless you count a select few that can (and have) broken me...I need to ponder this one more. But in the words of my homeboy big willie style...

if you are absent during my struggle, don't expect to be present during my success.

Not that I have had any huge struggles... more like I have made life choices that people don't appreciate, and while I love those people and cherish them, their negativity isn't allowed to affect me anymore, and if it changes the relationship that I have with those people...that is their choice, not mine..sigh..

3. More quality time with Mike, this one is hard, our work schedules don't jive very well and the only full day we have together is Sunday, however I do think we need to turn the T.V off more and read books together (Babe I have our next one picked out), or play games, take the girls for a walk or WHATEVER, as long as we aren't watching T.V every night, some nights is okay, not every one.

4. Continue with my fitness mojo; Currently I am working out, in some form daily, I either go to bootcamp, ride on my new recumbent bike, or treadmill while watching full house (Have Mercy!!). I am to the point where if I don't workout daily....wait, that only happens when I am sick...point is I, Kassandra Ila Kathleen Fournier (my name is to long Mike...) LOVE working out..I crave it, I need it and it makes me feel amazing. SO this year I want to continue that, but I want to pay less attention to the scale, and realize that the BMI can kiss my muscular shapely booty. I mean really...does it take into consideration my muscles?! NO IT DOESN'T...and I have lots of those, you should see the definition in my arms when I lift...or my legs when I, do anything really, its bloody fantastic. So I guess I want to love myself more, and embrace my strength...I honestly love weight lifting so I want to do more of that and feel confident in the changes in my body regardless of what the scale says.

5. Spend more time with my Cherished friends and family..this one is self explanatory . I need to see more people whom I love, more often.

So those are mine...do you have any? Any advise for the ones I have?

Be Blessed

Happy new year!

Sorry I haven't posted in a thousand years! We moved, painted and then it was Christmas! I am hoping to be able to blog more in the next year! I will start by catching you guy up on the house!
Here are some pictures of the painting progress!

The photo of the pictures is just showing you prints that I made on Microsoft publisher! Super easy and I love them! Mike and I are trying to find songs that we like so we can make some for the rest of the year, idea's?!

Beautiful! This baby is still up :)

Don't judge the clutter...we were renovating.

Way better yes?!

Hope everything is amazing
